The Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) is currently recruiting for multiple Executive Officer/ Junior Executive Office positions within our Breed Secretariat team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced administrators, coordinators, or customer service professionals looking to apply their skills in a new and growing industry.

While experience in livestock or agriculture is preferred, it is not essential – we will consider applicants with no industry experience who bring strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn. Comprehensive training is provided.

About the Role

As an Executive Officer, you’ll partner with breed associations to deliver high-level secretariat, administrative, and strategic support. You’ll be trusted to manage communications, coordinate events, maintain financial/admin records, support member services, and drive marketing initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, values strong relationships, and enjoys balancing structure with creativity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

End-to-end secretariat support for breed association clients

Member services, data and document management

Oversee administrative operations

Coordinate breed events, promotional activities and annual publications

Manage client communications, websites, newsletters and social media

Maintain financial records and support bookkeeping

Liaise with external stakeholders and industry bodies

We’re Looking for People With:

  • Experience in administration, executive support, events, communications or project coordination

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Confidence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic accounting tools

  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude

  • A willingness to learn and develop deep industry knowledge

  • Livestock or agricultural experience is welcomed but not essential
