During February, ABRI's Extension & Engagement team, Catriona Millen and Fiona Macarthur, travelled throughout New Zealand to deliver a series of BREEDPLAN workshops and meet with breeders, industry stakeholders and key contacts across the beef industry.
Delivered in collaboration with Performance Beef Breeders New Zealand (PBBNZ), the BREEDPLAN roadshow visited Whangārei, Te Awamutu, Feilding and Gore, providing producers with the opportunity to further develop their understanding of BREEDPLAN and the practical application of performance and genetic information within beef production systems.

The workshops were well received by attendees, with participants highlighting the value of practical examples, industry discussion and opportunities to strengthen their understanding of performance recording and genetic evaluation.
ABRI extends its sincere thanks to PBBNZ for coordinating the roadshow and supporting producer engagement throughout the tour. The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to meet with the wider PBBNZ team at their Feilding office and continue strengthening our relationship.

While in New Zealand, Catriona and Fiona also visited several cattle enterprises alongside PBBNZ representatives, providing an opportunity to see New Zealand production systems first-hand and discuss breeding objectives, herd management and the practical application of genetic information with breeders.
These discussions remain an important part of ensuring ABRI products and services continue to meet the needs of clients across diverse production environments and industry sectors.
