Dr Brad Crook’s Retirement from ABRI

After 25 years of dedicated service, Dr Brad Crook will be retiring from ABRI in January 2026.

Brad has been an extraordinary contributor to ABRI and the wider industry. As Manager of Genetics Research and Development, he championed innovations that have transformed genetic evaluation, including the introduction of Single-Step BREEDPLAN. This breakthrough, combining SNP genomic data with phenotypic breeding values, has been a game-changer for breeders striving to make more informed and effective selection decisions.

Brad’s contribution to ABRI, to the broader industry and to many individual producers is notable both for the outcomes he has helped enable based on genetic evaluations for long-term herd improvements, and because of his professionalism, resolute dedication to quality and his ability to build trusted relationships with both clients and team members throughout his career.

Brad leaves a lasting legacy of innovation, scientific rigor, and progress. His efforts have laid strong foundations that will continue to support ABRI’s mission well into the future.

The ABRI team extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brad for his achievements and leadership. While we will miss his expertise and vision, we look forward to building on the excellence he has helped create.

Please join us in wishing Brad all the very best in his retirement.
